Lawrence P. Smith
Dr. Lawrence Smith has been practicing general dentistry with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, since 1984. He is a 1984 graduate from Michigan State University with a degree in Biology. After earning his dental degree from the University of Michigan in 1984, he returned to the city where is was born, Oak Park, Illinois and practiced there for 29 years.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Smith has maintained his passion for enhancing his dental skills by accumulating over 2200 credit hours of continuing education and hands on training. His practice philosophy and treatment approach has been molded by the renowned centers of education such as L.D Pankey Institute, Dawson Academy, Spears Education, and Scottsdale Center. Dr. Smith continues his professional growth on an ongoing basis and has been active in numerous professional organizations including The American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Equilibration Society, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and the Academy of Restorative Dentistry. When not involved with patient care, Dr. Smith enjoys playing a round of golf, reading, traveling, biking, and flying as a private pilot. As an avid sports enthusiast, he loves watching college and professional sports especially football, basketball, and hockey. Family is very important as he likes to spend quality time with his wife, Corinne, a School Psychologist, and his two grown children, Bryan, a First Officer for American Eagle Airlines, and Brittany, who was Miss Illinois 2013.
Dr. Neerja Aggarwal graduated from Dental School in 1982. Dr. Aggarwal keeps up with the latest in dental techniques by regularly taking CE courses. She has been in practice in Chicago area since 1990. She is a member of the Chicago Dental Society and American Dental Association. Dr. Aggarwal performs all aspects of general dentistry such as gum and periodontal treatment, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, dentures, teeth bleaching, and esthetic dental work such as veneers. Dr. Charles Patterson graduated from the University of Michigan in 1980 and holds a Masters Degree in Oral Biology and a Master of Business Administration in Management and Economics. He has 27 scientific journal publications and has lectured in Korea and Japan, at the Bethesda National Medical Center and nationally to many professional groups.
Dr. Patterson’s education materials and research have been used by the Department of Defense for over 12 years. He has worked with the Veteran’s Administration, Naval Coroner’s Office, Naval Crime Investigative Service (NCIS) and the Criminal Investigation Division (CID). Dr. Patterson’s hard work has earned him the Navy Commendation Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Dr. Singh received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She chose this field because she believes in the importance of listening to patients concerns and the challenges that come with this field. She continues to strive for excellence by staying up to date in the field of dentistry by attending continue education courses. She takes pride in challenging herself daily to provide the best care to her patients. Dr. Singh is originally from India and has lived in the Western suburbs of Chicago for several years with her husband and two children. She loves to spend quality time with her family. When she gets some free time she, Dr. Singh likes to further her creativity by sketching, painting and other artistic expression.
Alexander Katsnelson is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He graduated with a DMD and MS from Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Dr. Katsnelson completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Illinois at Chicago. He received his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Harvard University teaching hospital, where he also served as chief resident.
Dr. Katsnelson has extensively published in national journals and presented at national and international meetings. He holds membership in the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Katsnelson enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring Chicago, learning about innovative technology, and reading. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Russian. Dr. Katsnelson performs all aspects of oral surgery, from extractions of teeth, implant placement, all-on-four cases, and orthognathic cases. The patients will be provided with the utmost attention, and we also have in office sedation.
Dr. Rhiannon Holcombe believes in providing exceptional care and spending quality time with each child to make every visit positive, safe, and fun. She believes if the visit is enjoyable and pleasant, then children will feel better about seeing the dentist, which will create a lifetime of good dental habits. In addition to routine dental exams, she also screens each patient for orthodontic needs, dental developmental abnormalities, and counseling for oral habits. Dr. Holcombe also has experience and training in treating special needs and medically compromised patients. During Dr. Holcombe’s spare time she enjoys reading, running, kickboxing and traveling.
KYUNG-SOO CHOI, PHD, DDS
Dr. Choi attended University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996. He completed his general practice residency at Evanston hospital in Evanston, Illinois. He conducted his Post Graduate schooling at Kyungpook National University School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Philosophy in Dental Science in 2010. He also received his Master of Science from Loma Linda University in 2004. He completed his Endodontic Residency at University of Southern Californian, Ostrow School of Dentistry.
Dr. Choi instructed for eight years at Pusan National University in Busan, South Korea as a professor in the Department of Prosthodontics from 2006 to 2014. He has had various publications in the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants and is one of the co-authors of a chapter in 7th Edition of Ingle’s Endodontic Textbook. Dr. Kyung-soo Choi is also an inventor of EZI mini-implant and Taegeuk scalloped implant. These miniature titanium implants as roots of your tooth that can be incorporated into the base of your denture.
Dr. Choi and his wife are both born and raised in South Korea and they have two beautiful children. Dr. Choi enjoys playing tennis and golf and watching movies when he finds time.
Dr. Sudhir K. Bhatia is a pediatric dentist that has a special care when it comes to treating children. He knows the value of a child’s dental health and the critical role it plays in their growth and everyday life. As a pediatric dentist for over 40 years, Dr Bhatia enjoys working with small children, building friendships with them and their families and working hard to give them exceptional treatment.
Dr. Bhatia attended King George Medical and Dental College in Lucknow, India where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He has his certificate of specialty in pediatric dentistry from Loyola University Chicago, and also attended University of Illinois Graduate School of Dentistry to earn his M.S. in Histology.
Dr. Bhatia was formerly assistant professor of pediatric dentistry at some of the most prominent universities in the Midwest such as Northwestern University, Loyola University, and Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Bhatia is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
